Traffic Awareness Course ( VKU )

After successfully passing the theoretical driving exam, attending a Traffic Awareness Course, which consists of eight lessons, is mandatory.

If someone wants to attain a driver’s license in the categories B, A, or the under category A1, they have to attend the Traffic Awareness Course (VKU), before being able to apply for the practical driving exam.

 

The course attendance cannot date back more than two years.

​

 

Course Matter

​

The course contains practice related information, like traffic sense and risk theory, and is meant to encourage a defensive and responsible way of driving. In addition to that, you will gain useful knowledge of physics, risk theory, and the human reaction capacity.

​

 

Course Duration

 

Eight lessons in total, distributed to four two-hour evening, lunchtime or morning classes.

To apply to Road Awareness Courses, you must be in possession of a valid learner driver’s license.

 

Course Fees:

Total: CHF 200.- / Course CHF 170.-, plus books CHF 30.-
